Terms of Service

By accessing or using SchoolTrack, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

1. Use of the Service

SchoolTrack provides school management software intended for use by Islamic schools, madrasas, and educational institutions. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your institution to create an account.

You agree to use SchoolTrack only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Data Storage

SchoolTrack stores your school's data in Google Firebase (Firestore), with a cached copy in your browser for performance. This means:

• Your data syncs across devices and is available to the teacher and parent accounts you create.
• Data persists in Firebase until you delete it via Settings → Reset All Data.
• We recommend using the Export Data feature regularly to maintain independent backups.
• The service runs on Firebase's free tier; availability is subject to Google's Firebase terms of service.

3. Payments and Billing

SchoolTrack itself is free to use. Some schools choose to enable online tuition payments for their parents, processed via Stripe. If you enable this feature:

• Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. SchoolTrack never receives or stores card numbers, CVCs, or other card details.
• Your school is responsible for the accuracy of invoice amounts, due dates, and descriptions shown to parents at checkout.
• Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks for payments made through this feature are between your school and Stripe/the paying parent — SchoolTrack does not process, approve, or guarantee refunds.
• Standard Stripe processing fees apply to each transaction, deducted by Stripe before funds settle; see Stripe's pricing.
• Use of Stripe is also governed by the Stripe Services Agreement.

4. Privacy

We take the privacy of students and families seriously. You are responsible for ensuring that student data you enter into SchoolTrack is handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use SchoolTrack for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute the software without permission.
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SchoolTrack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted. We recommend maintaining regular backups of your school data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SchoolTrack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service, including any loss of data or payment processing issues arising from Stripe or any third-party payment processor.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will indicate the date of the last revision at the top of this page.
